If you are planning to stay up late to watch football today, and you find out that the English League Cup (Carabao Cup) is on, and if you search the internet and find a match between Liverpool and Tottenham, do not expect it to be a big and fierce game like in the League.
Although the FA Cup is the oldest football cup in history, I have always hated it and I don’t even watch the final with much interest because teams do not give it the required attention, and in most cases they play with substitutes and the second team, and they don’t care about being eliminated from the tournament or staying in it.
Today’s Fixtures
However, in general, you can watch today:
- Peterborough vs Barnsley
- West Ham vs Fulham
- Ipswich vs Arsenal
- Liverpool vs Tottenham
- Reading vs Brentford
- Everton vs Wolves
- Fleetwood vs Sheff Utd
- Coventry vs Aston Villa
- Man United vs Brighton
- Man City vs Norwich
I advise you to watch the first match between Peterborough vs Barnsley; small teams that have the ambition to go far in the tournament to achieve something.
Spanish League Preview
If you want to watch something in the coming days, move to the Spanish League where Real Madrid will play against Elche. Real struggles and gets embarrassed by teams like this despite their strong attacking power, but the mood of their players might change, and you might find Elche pulling off a major surprise and giving a gift to Barcelona to cement their lead when they play against Racing Santander, who will try to stop the Catalan attacking flood.
